Program Manager: Damian Walsh
Damian assists the President and Chief Operating Officer, manages the Alliance for NanoHealth grant programs, monitors progress, oversees ANH administrative functions and serves as a main contact point.
Having moved to Houston from the UK in 2008, Damian has worked on research funding with universities and public bodies for over nine years.
Damian worked at Imperial College London for three years as a contracts administrator before moving to Brussels to work for the UK Research Office (UKRO) in 2003. As a European Advisor to a number of UK Universities and other research-driven bodies, Damian advised on avenues of European-level funding, the opportunities and strategies for successful interaction.
From 2008 to 2009, Damian worked in the Office of Sponsored Programs at The University of Texas M.D. Anderson. As a grants administrator, Damian reviewed a high volume of grant applications and progress reports, mainly for NIH and DOD funding.
